Store Your Fun + Fancy Props in Style

by on Sep 21 '16

If you’re like most studios, you likely have a whole plethora of fun + fancy props for your dance classes. With the new season in full swing, you’ve likely restocked some of your favorites. And, if you are a Twirl studio, you may have added some additional new sparkle to your prop supply this year (Arabesque Treasure chest, anyone?)!

We certainly have a mega supply of props, so we wanted to share with you how we put the F-U-N back into functional with our newly styled, festive storage cabinet!

We started with a basic white storage cabinet from The Home Depot.

Of course, we needed fun confetti flair, so we added these cute + colorful decals from Land of Nod!

Next, we purchased a few inexpensive storage bins and baskets from Ikea and Target, and we’re ready to get organized!

Rainbow color-coded Crayola crayons? Yes, please!

With a storage cabinet this cute, we and our staff are all aboard with keeping this cabinet cute + organized the whole year through. Ahem…right, staff? Right? Hellooo? 🙂

  • What all do you do with these fun props??

    • Hi Ashley! Thanks for reaching out! We have a preschool program called Twirl and a lot of the props go with the activities in the Twirl books. The activities do not require props, but we are all about making things fun, so we love to incorporate them. Plus it helps to capture our youngest dancers’ attention span and imaginations!

We also use them in classes of all ages…obstacle courses, inspiration and motivation. If you are interested in learning more about our Twirl preschool program, you can read about it on our website at http://www.confettionthedancefloor.com/twirl. Also, check out our Arabesque Treasure Chest post on the blog (the week before this one) to see a sample activity and how we used props in that class.

If you would like more information, I would be happy to send you a brochure and price sheet.

      Thanks!
